When You’re Tired of Being Strong All the Time | Stronger Together

Disappointment has a way of making hope feel distant. When prayers seem unanswered and circumstances don’t change as fast as we’d like, it’s easier to grow discouraged and throw in the towel than to press in — especially when you’re worn down and just don’t have the energy left.

In today’s prayer, Valarie meets us in that exhaustion honestly. She returns to a picture from an earlier episode — taking the weight and dropping it like a heavy rock at God’s feet — and reminds us that our hope was never rooted in our circumstances. Life will come at us, and we don’t get to choose what it brings; we only choose how we respond, and we respond by remaining faithful. Anchored in Romans 15:13 — “may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him” — she reminds us it’s His hope, not ours, that carries us. She prays for fresh hope breathed into weary hearts, for eyes lifted above our circumstances and fixed on His promises, and for renewed confidence that He is always working, even when we can’t see it.

What if kneeling at the throne became more than a moment? Kneeling at the Throne was written to help you experience the power of prayer through God’s Word — but prayer was never meant to end when you close the book. That’s why we created the Inner Chamber, a Christ-centered community where believers deepen their relationship with God through intentional prayer, biblical teaching, and authentic encouragement. As a member, you’ll receive monthly Bible-based teaching, guided prayer experiences rooted in Scripture, practical strategies for everyday challenges, and encouragement and accountability from a growing community. If Kneeling at the Throne helped you take your first step, the Inner Chamber is where you continue the journey. Visit divine515.com to learn more about becoming a member.

If today’s prayer encouraged you, carry one of God’s promises with you as a reminder that your hope is anchored in Christ — and share this with someone who’s tired of holding it all together.
