Healing Broken Relationships | Stronger Together

Broken relationships rarely happen overnight. If you’re human, somewhere along the way you’ll have one, whether it’s with a parent, a friend, someone at work, or even with yourself. Misunderstandings, disappointment, pride, and unresolved hurts slowly create distance, like a slow drip in a bucket that doesn’t overflow right away but, left unattended, eventually leaves a mess on your hands.

In today’s prayer, Valarie reminds us that when those wounds go unaddressed, they become barriers that keep us from the peace God desires for us. There’s comfort, though, in remembering that the very first broken relationship any of us had was with God, and nothing about it took Him by surprise. He made a way to restore it through the love and blood of Jesus Christ, and that same restoring power meets us in our hardest relationships today. She’s honest that healing doesn’t always mean the relationship changes. Sometimes the change comes in you, as God shows you how to cope, how to heal, and how to keep moving. Anchored in Colossians 3:13, “bear with each other and forgive one another; forgive as the Lord forgave you,” she reminds us that forgiveness isn’t only for the other person. It’s for you, laying down the weight that so easily holds you back from the purpose God has for your life. She prays for the humility to forgive as we’ve been forgiven, the courage to seek peace where possible, and grace to respond with compassion instead of pride.

What if prayer became more than something you do, and instead became the way you live? The Inner Chamber was created for believers who want more than occasional inspiration: a place to build a consistent prayer life, grow in God’s Word, and walk alongside others pursuing a deeper relationship with Christ. Inside you’ll find guided prayer experiences, monthly biblical teachings, practical prayer strategies for life’s real challenges, and a supportive community that grows together. You don’t have to figure out your prayer journey alone. Visit divine515.com to learn more and become part of the Inner Chamber community.

Healthy relationships begin with surrendered hearts, so remember to give God your yes. Share this with someone carrying a broken relationship today, and until tomorrow, keep meeting God at the throne.
