Opening Week 2 of the September series, Valarie moves from knowing the Word to living it. We know we’re supposed to forgive, but we’re still hurt. We know we’re supposed to trust God, but we’re still trying to control the outcome. We know we’re supposed to love difficult people, but some relationships test everything in us.
In today’s prayer, she names the gap many believers land in: information doesn’t automatically produce transformation, and sometimes God asks us to change our response before He changes our circumstances. Instead of pretending obedience is easy, she invites us to be honest with God: “Father, I know what Your word says, but I’m struggling to live it. Help me.” Anchored in James 1:22, “do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says,” she prays for the courage to obey even when it’s difficult and for strength when emotions resist what God is asking.
What if prayer became more than something you do, what if it became the way you live? The Inner Chamber was created for believers who want more than occasional inspiration: guided prayer experiences, monthly biblical teachings, practical prayer strategies, and a supportive community that grows together. Today’s challenge: choose one Scripture you already know and ask yourself honestly, am I actually living this?
