Letting Go | How to Let Go of Hurt

Some hurts don’t fade just because time passes. You’ve kept working, serving, and caring for everyone else, all while quietly carrying words you still remember or the ache of someone who walked away.

As the Letting Go series begins, Valarie talks honestly about why holding on to hurt can feel safer than releasing it. Letting go doesn’t mean saying it didn’t matter, because it did. It means deciding the pain will no longer have unlimited access to your heart. God doesn’t ask us to pretend we’re fine. He invites us to bring Him the real wound. Today’s prayer asks Him to heal what is wounded, soften what has grown hard, and help us release what we’ve been carrying far too long.

Scripture anchor: Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
