You’ve carried it so long that it’s started to feel like part of who you are. And the thought of finally putting it down feels almost as frightening as holding on.
Hurt, the past, regret, disappointment, unforgiveness, worry. Different burdens, but every one of them is exhausting when we carry it alone. As the first week of Letting Go comes to a close, Valarie reminds us that your burden is not your identity, and letting go doesn’t mean you’ll never think about it again. It means you know where to take it when it returns. Jesus doesn’t say fix it first or figure it all out first. He simply says come. Today’s prayer brings everything we’ve been struggling to release to the throne and asks for the trust to set it down and receive the rest He offers.
Scripture anchor: Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
If you want to keep growing in a Christ-centered community where prayer, Scripture, encouragement, and connection are part of the journey, there’s a place for you inside the Inner Chamber. It’s free to join at divine515.com/free.
If these prayers are helping you, share Divine515 with someone carrying something heavy today. Your share may be their invitation to begin letting go.
