There’s one question regret never gets tired of asking: what if I had done things differently? What if I hadn’t said that, or had made another choice? It plays like a broken record, and some of us keep hitting play because punishing ourselves feels like proof that we’re sorry.
Today Valarie prays over the regrets we keep reclaiming. Reflection can teach us, but condemnation only keeps yesterday’s mistakes alive in today’s mind. She invites us to take the first step by bringing the regret into God’s presence: confess what needs to be confessed, make things right where He gives the opportunity, learn what needs to be learned, and then receive His grace. It’s a prayer for forgiveness, for courage to do our part, and for freedom to move forward without condemning ourselves.
Scripture anchor: Philippians 3:13-14, “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal.”
