You prayed. You prepared. You tried, and you believed. And still, the door closed.
Closed doors can feel personal, and disappointment can quickly turn into the question “Why, God?” Valarie reminds us that we often judge a closed door by what we lost, without yet knowing what God may be protecting us from or redirecting us toward. Not every closed door is punishment. Sometimes it’s direction. Instead of spending all our energy trying to reopen what’s been shut, prayer helps us ask, “Where are You leading me now?” You can grieve a closed door without camping outside of it. Today’s prayer asks God for peace about the doors that have closed, healing for our disappointment, and eyes to see where He is leading next.
Scripture anchor: Revelation 3:7, “What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open.”
Inside the Inner Chamber, believers are building prayer rhythms that help them recognize God’s direction through real-life transitions and difficult seasons. Join free at divine515.com/free.
Maybe today’s prayer isn’t “God, reopen the door.” Maybe it’s “God, show me where to walk next.” A closed door doesn’t mean God has stopped moving.
