We spend so much time waiting for the big thing. The breakthrough, the promotion, the healing, the answer we’ve been praying for. And while we wait, the small gifts slip right past us.
Valarie invites us to slow down and notice God’s goodness in ordinary places: a peaceful morning, food on the table, someone checking on you, the strength to get out of bed. Today’s prayer asks God to forgive us for overlooking small gifts while waiting for bigger ones, thanks Him for today’s provision, strength, breath, and grace, and asks Him to teach us not to measure His goodness only by dramatic answers, but to see His hand in everyday moments too.
Scripture anchor: Zechariah 4:10, “For who hath despised the day of small things?”
If you’re ready to make prayer a daily rhythm instead of an occasional practice, the Inner Chamber is free to join at divine515.com/free.
Before the day ends, thank God for one small thing you’d normally walk right past.
