You’ve stepped into a new season, but your heart is still standing in the last one. You catch yourself thinking, “This isn’t how it used to be,” and wondering why things couldn’t just stay the same.
Valarie reminds us that we can enter a new season physically while staying emotionally attached to the one before it, and sometimes we miss what’s growing because we’re still mourning what ended. New seasons rarely look like old ones. They may ask for different rhythms, relationships, priorities, and even a different version of us. Prayer helps us stop demanding that the new season resemble the old one, and instead ask God to help us notice what’s in front of us, whether that’s an opportunity, a lesson, a relationship, or a stretching of our faith. Today’s prayer thanks Him for being Lord over every season and asks for eyes to recognize what’s new, wisdom for new responsibilities, and faith to follow Him forward.
Scripture anchor: Ecclesiastes 3:1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Ask yourself today, “What if I stopped comparing this season to the last one and started asking God what He wants to do in this one?” And share this prayer with someone who’s learning to move forward too.
