Letting Go | Healing a Wounded Heart

No apology. No explanation. No acknowledgment of what happened. You know Scripture calls you to forgive, and you still don’t know how to do it when the wound is this personal.

Valarie gently reminds us that forgiveness is often a process, not a one-time moment, like peeling back the layers of an onion until you reach the core. Forgiveness isn’t the same as reconciliation. It doesn’t excuse what happened or reopen a door that needs a healthy boundary. It releases our right to carry the offense forever. Sometimes it begins with a simple, honest prayer: “Father, I’m willing to become willing.” Today’s prayer asks God to help us release the offense without minimizing the hurt, free our hearts from bitterness, and teach us to forgive from the grace He has shown us.

Scripture anchor: Ephesians 4:31-32, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger… forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

If you’d like a community to walk with you through seasons of healing, the Inner Chamber is a free space for prayer, Scripture, and encouragement. Join at divine515.com/free.

If you or someone you know is wrestling with forgiveness, this is a prayer you can pray again and again. Release the offense one prayer at a time.
