Even after you finally let something go, the space doesn’t stay empty for long. Another responsibility, another distraction, another worry moves right in.
Valarie talks about how crowded our schedules, thoughts, and hearts can become, and how empty space can feel as uncomfortable as silence. We’re used to doing, solving, planning, and moving. But if we fill every available space, we may struggle to hear what God is saying in the quiet. Prayer doesn’t always require more words. Sometimes it means putting down the phone, turning off the noise inside and out, and simply sitting before Him. Today’s prayer asks God to quiet the noise around and within us, show us what has been occupying space that belongs to Him, and teach us to be still and attentive in His presence.
Scripture anchor: Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Today’s challenge is five uninterrupted minutes with God. No scrolling, no multitasking, no long list of requests. Just be still. Sometimes making room begins there.
