You prayed for change, and change came. Just not the kind you expected. The opportunity showed up through an unfamiliar door, and the growth you asked for meant leaving something comfortable behind.
Valarie reminds us that God’s new thing doesn’t always arrive in familiar packaging. He is always doing something new, and yet He never changes. Our expectations can make us miss what He’s doing, because we’re looking in one direction while something is quietly beginning somewhere else. Recognizing His work takes attention, and prayer keeps our hearts open. Instead of telling God exactly what the new thing must look like, we can ask Him to help us see it, even when it looks different than we imagined. Today’s prayer asks for eyes to recognize what He is doing, for freedom from expectations that limit our sight, and for discernment, wisdom, and an open heart wherever He leads.
Scripture anchor: Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
