You’re waiting on the doctor’s call, the job decision, the conversation that could change everything. Sometimes not knowing feels harder than hearing the answer you were dreading.
When we don’t have certainty, we start filling in the blanks ourselves, and fear usually writes the worst version of the story. Valarie points out that the psalmist doesn’t say he’ll trust God once he’s no longer afraid. Fear and faith often show up in the same moment, and the question is which one we’ll follow. Today’s prayer brings our uncertainty to God and asks Him to draw us back to what we know about Him when fear starts filling in the blanks: He is faithful, present, and always trustworthy.
Scripture anchor: Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”
